24/7 Terms and conditions

All Complete Fitness Gym members (“Members”) and visitors visiting the premises of Complete Fitness Gym are required to comply with these.

 

All Complete Fitness Gym members (“Members”) and visitors, deemed as clients of the Registered Free-lance trainer and only when under their direct supervision (“Visitor”) on the premises of Complete Fitness Gym are required to comply with these Terms and Conditions (the “Terms”). These Terms are also incorporated into a member’s contract.

 

Failure to comply with these Terms may result in members being denied access to or being rejected from the premises of Complete Fitness Gym. In some circumstances, non-compliance may result in the termination of membership.

 

Complete Fitness Gym reserves the right to amend these Terms as necessary and will give reasonable notice of the same. Members should ensure that they regularly check back to [On the webpage /displayed in the gymnasium] to familiarise themselves with any amendments made. If a member does not consent to these terms, they must stop using the Complete Fitness Gym facilities immediately. All correspondence with Complete Fitness Gym is to be solely via email at enquiries@completefitnessltd.co.uk

 

Membership and Membership Fobs            

 

  1. Membership entitles Members to use the facilities in accordance with these Terms.

  2. A membership fob will be issued to each member upon their joining Complete Fitness Gym. Members will be required to check in using the Fob on each visit to Complete Fitness before using the facilities.

  3. If a member fails to produce a valid membership Fob they may be asked for proof of identification. In some circumstances a member’s admission to the premises may be denied.

  4. If a member’s Fob should be lost, stolen or damaged and a replacement is required, a charge of £5 will be made by Complete Fitness Gym for a replacement.

  5. Members must not lend or give their membership Fob to any other person. Membership is aligned to the Member only, if the membership fob is given to another user it will be confiscated /frozen  and a £45 charged in lieu of the casual monthly membership payment (deemed as expired), this will be asked before the membership is reinstated, The use of CCTV will assist in this, CCTV is primarily monitored and recorded for health and safety purposes.

  6. Members may freeze their membership at any time for a maximum period of [2 Months). Members can freeze once in a 12 month period, This will incur a £10 per calendar month administration fee. During the period that membership is frozen, the members contract will be placed on hold, after 2 months the membership will automatically restart.  Members will not be permitted to access the premises of Complete Fitness Gym during the freeze period, freeze periods do not contribute towards contract time

  7. The administration fee for a 'freeze' is due for payment in the first month of the 'freeze’. Members are only permitted one  'freeze’ in a 12 month period.  .

  8. If a membership is terminated, the Member is required to return their membership fob to Complete Fitness on or before the last day of their membership.

General

 

  1. The Gym is now 24/7 for members / Visitors and manned hours for casual members of Complete Fitness Gym will be displayed at the premises and on our social media page.  It may be amended as appropriate, for example staff shortage /Illness.

  2. In the event of a reduction in the operating times and/ or temporary closure of the business which are necessary for operational reasons (such as, for example deep cleaning, audits and inspections) or which occur for reasons for which Complete Fitness Gym is not responsible for (Fire, epidemics, pandemics, strikes or official instruction etc) the member is not entitled to a refund, extension of the contract or any other form of compensation. Extensions of contract terms due to force majeure may be granted as a gesture of goodwill.

  3. Animals are not permitted on the premises, except for guide or assistance dogs.

  4. Members are not permitted to take photographs or videos on the premises.

  5. Complete Fitness Gym reserve the right to use photographs or videos taken by staff of Complete Fitness for promotional purposes and will use its reasonable endeavours to obtain the consent, however, if the member / visitors wishes not to be featured then they are required to inform the member of staff immediately.

  6. Members are not to tamper with any of the access points/music/lights or the thermostatic controls.

 

Children

 

  1. For the purposes of these Terms, children are deemed to be aged 15 and under. Children are welcome on the premises of Complete Fitness Gym providing that they are accompanied by a parent, legal guardian, or other appropriate person (“Guardian”).

  2. Children must be always under direct supervision of their Guardian on the Complete Fitness Gym and must not be left unsupervised at any time.

  3. Children and their Guardian must read and adhere to the NHS and Complete Fitness policies on fitness training for children and undertake an induction to the facilities before any training may take place. The Guardian will be required to sign the relevant consent forms before access to the premises will be permitted to any children in their care.

  4. Children aged 15 and under will not be permitted to join Complete Fitness as members. Children will be required to use a pre-payment Fob or a day pass to gain access to the facilities of Complete Fitness Gym.

  5. Children under the age of 15 may use their own gender changing room but only under the supervision of their Guardian at all times.

 

Casual Members

 

  1. Casual members are permitted to use the facilities at Complete Fitness Gym only during the Gym manned hours. (timings are shown on the Web Page and at the Gymnasium)  They must  purchase the appropriate pay as you go option and complete a pre-activity questionnaire and induction before using any equipment or facilities.

 

Use of the Facilities

 

  1. Members must visit Complete Fitness Gym during staffed hours prior to accessing the gym during unstaffed hours. We will check that your credentials will allow you access during unstaffed hours, explain how Complete Fitness Gym operates during unstaffed hours and answer any questions you may have.

  2. Members/Visitors uses the facilities and services at their own risk and are fully liable for any injury damaged caused by malpractice.

  3. Before using any exercise equipment or facilities, Members will be required to complete a pre-exercise questionnaire and a Complete Fitness Gym induction, visitors are to complete this with their individual Trainer.

  4. Members should consult their doctor before starting any exercise programme, complete the Complete Fitness health screening questionnaire, its is your responsibility to update the Complete Fitness staff if a new medical condition arises or an existing one alters that may impact their safe use of the gym.

  5. Members will be required to undertake an induction of the facilities and equipment before being permitted to use the Gym and use it in the manner demonstrated, It is the responsibility of Members/visitors to make sure that they can safely perform any exercise as part of their own training programme or that of one provided by Complete Fitness or their free-lance trainer.

  6. Whilst at the gym members/visitors are not to engage in any type of criminal activity or engage in any behaviour that is deemed inappropriate by the gym management.

  7. Sleeping in the gymnasium is prohibited.

  8. Members/Visitors are to use the main entrance to enter and exit the gym. You are not to open any external doors to the gym at any time or force any locked door.  Failure to comply, may result in termination of membership and / or costs for any damage caused or any theft as a result such an action.

  9. Members/visitors are to ensure the main entrance/exit door is closed behind them and only one person is permitted to use the turnstile at any time.

  10. Members/visitors are not to use, block or interfere with fire, emergency or disabled access doors or alarms (except in a genuine emergency).

  11. Members/Visitors are not to tamper with or discharge fire extinguishers except in the event of a fire.

  12. Members/visitors are not to behave in an aggressive, abusive, intimidating, anti-social or threatening manner or in a way that might cause distress to Staff, Members or other visitors.

  13. Members/visitors are not to discriminate, harass, or engage in unwanted physical or verbal contact with another member/visitor or member of Staff.

  14. Members/visitors are to keep their face visible when using the Turnstile (face coverings are permissible as per the government guidelines for Covid-19) both at the entrance and on the gym floor. Please do not wear a helmet, baseball cap or head covering, including a hoody. It is important that we can identify members/visitors using the gym.

  15. Members/visitors are not to conduct any Personal Training/therapy/nutrition or any other commercial business with other Members/visitors.

  16. Members/Visitors must wipe down equipment after use and return equipment to its rightful place.

  17. Members/Visitors are not permitted to use the facilities at Complete Fitness Gym while under the influence of drugs, alcohol or other medication, supplement or substance which may affect their ability to exercise safely.

  18. Smoking, including that of e-cigarettes is strictly prohibited on the Complete Fitness premises.

  19. Members/visitors are not to eat within the fitness / gym area.

  20. Members/visitors are to use the lockers on the Complete Fitness premises for storage of personal possessions while on the premises, members are allowed to bring their own personal padlocks for use but will be liable for any loss or damage to them.

  21. Members/visitors are not permitted to leave personal possessions while not on Complete Fitness premises. If personal possessions are left in a locker, Complete Fitness Gym reserves the right to open the locker and remove items therein.

  22. Any possessions removed will be held by Complete Fitness Gym [At reception] for a period of 30 days. If they are not collected in this time, Complete Fitness will dispose of the same as deemed appropriate.

  23. Members/visitors are to report breakages immediately to a member of Complete Fitness Gym Staff.

  24. Any damages caused by the member/visitor to the facilities and equipment, to the extent of law are liable for the repair or replacement and shall indemnify Complete Fitness Gym if due to negligence and / or not adhering the gyms rules.

  25. During non-staffed hours the gymnasium showers will be locked and not available for use.

Use of Equipment

 

  1. If you are a new member with no previous gym experience or are unfamiliar with how to use our equipment you will require our in house CFIT gym program. If you join and decide not take this gym program you do so entirely at your own risk. During staffed hours, staff are available to instruct you in the safe use of all equipment.

  2. Members/visitors are to use safety devices and set to the correct level, such as safety catchers in the frames.

  3. Members/visitors are required to only train with weights that they are capable of lifting. Weights are not to be dropped to the floor,  but lowered under control.

  4. The mezzanine floor is for light weight functional training only, members/visitors will be responsible for any damaged caused if this is not adhered too.

  5. Weights of more than 60 Kg are not to be used on the mezzanine floor. Members/visitors may use the frames with the safety catchers, but the total weight lifted must not exceed 100kg.

 

Health and Safety

 

  1. Members/visitors must familiarise themselves and comply with the Complete Fitness Gym health and safety policies in addition to any requests made by staff in relation to health and safety.

  2. Glass containers are not to be used on the premises.

 

Clothing

 

  1. Members/visitors must be dressed in appropriate gym clothing and shoes, that is fit for purpose when using the facilities.

  2. The staff of Complete Fitness Gym may refuse access or eject Members if their attire is not deemed appropriate.

 

Fees, Termination and Refunds

 

  1. Membership fees are payable monthly in advance by direct debit.

  2. If a Member does not attend and/or use the facilities of Complete Fitness Gym after having purchased a membership (or taken advantage of any special offer or special promotion) they will not be entitled to a refund of any fees paid.

  3. The contract can be extraordinarily terminated with a notice period of 1 full calendar month this is subject to a submission of a medical certificate or a confirmation of registration at a new residence more than 10 miles away (measured by google maps), this will be at the sole discretion of the Manager.

  4. Members are entitled to cancel their payment within the initial 14-day period stated in the contract only by email and sent to enquiries@completefitnessltd.co.uk. Any fees paid will be returned to the Member minus any incurred fees and the gymnasium usage chargeable at the casual day rate shown on the Complete Fitness webpage. It is the responsibility of Members to cancel any direct debit at the Bank after informing Complete Fitness of the cancellation via email.

  5. Verbal cancellations shall be deemed void, the receipt of the email shall be decisive, the member shall have the burden of proof regarding the receipt of the email to Complete Fitness Gym.

  6. After the signup period stated in the contract, Members may terminate this agreement by giving one calendar months’ notice by email to enquiries@completefitnessltd.co.uk any time.

  7. If a Member fails to pay the membership fees due, Complete Fitness Gym reserves the right to refuse entry to the facilities until payment in full of fees due has been received.

  8. In the event of a repeated failure to pay membership fees due, Complete Fitness Gym reserves the right to terminate the Member’s contract and to take enforcement action for recovery of the same.

  9. Complete Fitness Gym may increase the membership fees after the end of the contract period or if the member has signed up on a rate not applicable to them, this will be by letter addressed to Members or by prominent display on the premises.

 

Car Parking

​

  1. The car park is for use by Members/visitors only when attending the Complete Fitness Gym premises. Cars are not to be left in the car park at any other time and parking overnight., misuse might result in the termination of their contract.

 

Liability

 

  1. The liability of Complete Fitness Gym to compensate you in the case of loss, damage or theft for any personal possessions such as items of clothing or other possessions which you bring to the premises of Complete Fitness Gym is strictly limited to situations where the loss, damage or theft was due to a negligent act or omission by Complete Fitness Gym, and the liability shall be limited to 100% of the value, proof of purchase, ownership and condition prior to entry on that day and the current value for that item in its current condition must be provided by the owner, CCTV will be used as the true record of events, condition and fault .

  3. Complete Fitness Gym will not be liable to Members/visitors due to the following:

  5. The fault of a Member/visitor;

  6. The fault of someone else who is not directly connected with providing services under these Terms; or

  7. Events which Complete Fitness Gym could not have reasonably known about beforehand, even if all reasonable care had been taken.

  8.  

  9. Nothing in these Terms shall seek to limit or exclude liability for death or personal injury resulting from negligence, or for any damage or liability incurred by Members because of fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation by Complete Fitness Gym.

 

Unstaffed Hours

 

  1. Only members on a contract or 6/12 months upfront are entitled to use the facility unsupervised, all causal members can only train during manned hours or if a member of Complete Fitness is in the building..

  2. Visitors will be under the direct supervision of their Free-lance trainer only, who will be solely responsible for their client.

  3. By attending the gym outside of staffed hours, you are agreeing to our 24-hour terms and conditions outlined on this page.

  4. The minimum age to use the facility during unstaffed hours is 16 unless under direct supervision by one of our employed and free-lance Personal trainers and only with the correct under 16 guidelines completed.

  5. When attending the gym during unstaffed hours you must return all equipment/dumbbells and weight plates once you have finished using them. You must tidy up after yourself during your visit for the benefit and safety of other users.

  6. Members users that attend out of staffed hours do so entirely at their own risk.

  7. Outside of staffed hours we highly recommend using the gym with a gym buddy (also a member).

  8. In the event of an emergency, there is a panic button located in the middle of the gym. Upon pressing this button an on-call member of staff is notified and alarms within the building will sound. The on-call member of staff will access the CCTV remotely and organise appropriate assistance. We request that you only press this button in the event of an emergency, misuse of this will result in termination of membership with immediate effect.

  9. In the event of hearing the fire alarm during unstaffed hours members/visitors are to make their way to the nearest fire exit and assemble in the car park.

  10. The changing rooms and other rooms will be unavailable and locked during unstaffed hours unless a member of the Complete fitness team is in the building. The toilets will remain accessible at all times.

  11. We reserve the right to charge for unstaffed gym usage, you will be informed of any charge or change in cost and the membership changed to full use.

  12. All external doors apart from the main door will be alarmed and CCTV Monitored, these are not for use during unstaffed hours, breech of this will result in immediate termination of membership without any refund.

  13. If a Member has a complaint, they should communicate the nature of the complaint verbally and followed up in writing to the manager or by email to completefitnessltd@gmail.com

Data Protection

​

  1. CCTV is in operation at all times within the premises and carpark, this is monitored by staff and can be accessed at any time by the manager.  CCTV is used outside of staffed hours to monitor the gym the recordings will be subject to review and saved if needed for reference, there is signage displayed within the Gym to inform you of this and identifies the data manager.

  2. ​Complete Fitness agrees that any personal data you provide will only be used in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998.
